What is hyperhidrosis?

Hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating is a condition that may cause great emotional distress and compromise a person’s working and social life. This condition can occur in any area of the body. The most commonly affected areas are under the arms, the palms of the hands, and the soles of the feet. Although it is normal to sweat if you exercise or get hot, excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) occurs when the body doesn’t need to cool down.

Hyperhidrosis is a long-term condition that can occur for no obvious reason and can be caused by another condition that you are suffering from or as a side effect of the medication you’re taking. It is a common condition that can affect the whole body, especially areas such as your armpits, hands, feet, face, chest, and groin.

How can it be treated?

Hyperhidrosis can be dealt with very effectively through the use of anti-ageing injectables. Anti-ageing injectables block the sweat secretion by the sweat glands because of their anticholinergic effects.

How does the treatment for hyperhidrosis work?

Excessive sweating is treated by administrating an injection to combat the overactive sweat glands, which are identified by first applying a powder to the skin. The protein acts by blocking excess nerve signals to the sweat glands, thus reducing the amount of sweat the body releases.

Can hyperhidrosis be cured?

There is no cure for hyperhidrosis, but it is possible to manage the symptoms of the condition.

For example, wearing loose–fitting white or black colored clothes can minimize the signs of sweating. Socks can help to absorb moisture and wearing leather shoes rather than enclosed boots or sports shoes can help too. In addition, avoiding drinking alcohol or eating spicy food can help to minimize your symptoms.
